Ernst Altien Korrespondance
between Ernst Altien and his mother By a
strange coincidence both her letters and his are preserved. You can read
her letters and some of his answers. There is of course no answer to the
first letter from her, which he found long time after she had left him.
All the letters are originally written in German, but
are here
translated to English. To some of them he has made his comments in
Danish. These comments are preserved in their original form. Most of the
letters gives a new glimpse of his life, but in a few of them both his
mother and he are discussion subjects of art.
